3D Ceramic Sculpture
8th Grade
TASK:
Pottery has been around for centuries and has been an art form used widely across the world. You will create a 3D bowl or vase using 2 of the 3 the traditional hand building method: slab and coil. Our focus will be on turning shape into form and texture with additional attention paid to unity, rhythm, and balance. You will design your bowl/vase inspired by your ceiling tile artist with specific emphasis on the elements of art used by your artist. You will also demonstrate good craftsmanship in working with clay.
